Frog Prince (private commission)
Kara, a dear friend, requested artwork for a tattoo. She wanted to commemorate the birth of her son and the purchase of their first family home, and wanted to use the image of a frog prince. I decided to use Procreate to create line art for her tattoo.
To achieve this look, I:
Interviewed Kara to understand her inspiration and desired look for the end product.
Studied pictures of frogs from different biomes.
Sketched many frogs.
Refined the line work for the top three images.
Created alternate eyes and crowns with new layers.
Presented the finished three images to Kara.
This was done before I had any working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator. I love the UI of Procreate, and I think it worked well for this project. In the future, I may try Illustrator after sketching with paper and pencil.
